CTC GIVES NEW LIFE TO AN UNDEAD CLASSIC

GRACE JONES, DEDEE PFEIFFER AND ROBERT RUSLER
RETURN IN THE 80'S SEXY HORROR COMEDY

VAMP
WITH BLOODY GREAT EXTRAS ON BLU RAY!

Los Angeles, CA. (03/15/11) -- In 1986, Grace Jones was "looking for a few good men," as college frat boys, exotic vampire dancers and black comedy combined to create one of the greatest cult horror classics of all time. Now, 25 years later, the lady is back to take a bite out of the 21st century, when Arrow Video resurrects the video store hit of the 80s: Vamp! With a superlative cast--including the engaging Chris Makepeace, award-winning actor Robert Rusler, the gorgeous Dedee Pfeiffer in her first starring role and the striking Ms. Jones giving a frighteningly over-the-top performance--this oddball combination of comedy, carnage and carnality is a must have for all lovers of the undead. Throw in a virtual cornucopia of tasty extras and the package becomes savagely irresistible!

At school, getting into the right fraternity can be a matter of life or death. Keith (Chris Makepeace) and AJ (Robert Rusler) need to hire a stripper to entertain the brothers or their college days are over. In a shady after hours joint they find an adult entertainer like no other when they step into the world of sharp-fanged Katrina (Grace Jones). Have these two freshmen bitten off more than they can chew? Stuck on the wrong side of town, on a dark night and surrounded by a plague of alien blood suckers, with only a perky dancer/cocktail waitress named Amaretto (Dedee Pfeiffer) to help them... The answer is definitely yes!

Returning to the scene of the carnage is fan favorite Robert Rusler, who in addition to winning an award for Best Actor in a Science Fiction or Horror Film for his role in Vamp later went on to greater acclaim in such cult classics as A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge, Stephen King's Emmy Award-winning Sometimes They Come Back and the episodic Sci-Fi epic Babylon 5. Brought in to add new audio commentary and a revealing interview to this biting blu ray release, Rusler says, "Making the movie Vamp was an exceptionally exciting time in my life, from the fun with the talented cast and crew to the adventures with the incredible artists and rockstars, most of whom were part of Grace Jones' entourage. We smashed that period of the 80s! Sex, blood and Rock 'n Roll! "

Among the other supplemental materials compiled by Creative Talent Communications (CTC) and Scotland's High Rising Productions for this release are: new artwork to augment the original art by Tom Hodge & Rick Melton; an exclusive collector's booklet by Jay Slater, critic and author of Eaten Alive; additional audio commentary with critic Calum Waddell; interviews with Dedee Pfeiffer, director Richard Wenk and producer Donald Borchers; exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the rehearsal process; a Blooper Reel; a short film by Wenk entitled Dracula Bites The Big Apple; a Scrapbook of Scares from Wenk's memorabilia collection; a documentary on the making of the film, and more!

The experience of bringing this campy cult classic back to life in glorious high definition through the creation of original new content was a coup for CTC and High Rising Productions, enthusiastically applauded by those involved in the original filmmaking process. "Vamp on Blu Ray, go figure!" enthuses Donald Borchers. "What an exceptional job in restoring my maiden voyage into feature films," raves writer/director Richard Wenk. "The quality and care taken is remarkable. Seeing Vamp this way brought back a flood of memories." Star Dedee Pfeiffer agrees, saying "I have always been proud of Vamp, not only because it was my first starring role, but because it's nothing short of a miracle we finished it. With all the crazy things that happened while making the movie, there's no doubt the real movie is The Making of Vamp!"

Now the world can find out for itself, through this definitive release available exclusively from Arrow Video as of February 21, 2011.
