WHO SLEW SIMON THADDEUS MULBERRY PEW?
Knocking 'Em Dead On DVD, June 29, 2004

Los Angeles, CA. (03/26/04) -- Few films have had the impact of the darkly comedic mini feature Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew?, which deftly combines the innocent nonsensical sensibilities of Dr. Seuss with the bizarre hyper-reality of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Featuring genre-busting performances by Armin Shimmerman (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer) and John Kassir (the voice of the Crypt Keeper from Tales Of The Crypt), Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew? is a cautionary tale about a nasty little boy who meets his match in a pair of wide-eyed twins and their mysterious friend, the Wizzit. Film Threat calls this uniquely refreshing film, "simultaneously hilarious and unsettling..." and now Image Entertainment is releasing Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew? on DVD, June 29, 2004, at the suggested retail price of $9.99.

Walking away with 35 awards, including Best Short, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay, Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew?, has quickly emerged as a film festival favorite having been invited and screened at over 170 film festivals. Ingeniously written by Joe Jordan and masterfully directed by Brett Nemeroff, the Velvet Steamroller & Moonlight Graham Entertainment release has gained a rabid cult following among those who love filmmaking that defies categorization. "If you're a fan of South Park, or Rocky Horror Picture Show or a fan of anything unique or out of the ordinary, you're going to love this movie," says Nemeroff.

An unexpected bonus for the filmmakers is the fact that Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew? has also caught the attention of the U.S Department of Defense and the State Department. During this time of global political unrest, the U.S. State Department is screening Who Slew Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew?, using it as a diplomatic tool in the hopes of changing the worldıs negative perception of the United States and to promote American values. Most recently, the film was selected and screened by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and the U.S. Consulate in Calcutta, India to show a different facet of American culture. Additionally, the film was requested by the U.S. Navy where it has already screened on over ten Navy Ships in the Atlantic Fleet in an effort to raise the morale of our wartime troops.

All of which gives this 21-minute mini epic a very special place in the annals of film history and further raises its profile, making it one of the most anticipated DVD releases of the year.
