Sean Crawley (Chris McKenna) is a part-time house painter who has stumbled on the dream job of a lifetime, when beer-guzzling electrician Duke Wayne (George Wendt) introduces him to the owner of a construction company, Ray Mathews (Daniel Baldwin). Ray pays Sean five hundred dollars a week to tail a pesky accountant from City Hall who has been threatening to expose his practice of bribing city building inspectors. All is fine until Ray drunkenly tells Sean that he'll pay him an extra thirteen thousand dollars to dispose of the accountant. To everyone's surprise, Sean does it! Problem is, Ray has no intention of paying him the money. To make matters worse, Duke informs him that if he talks, they'll crush him like an ant. What both Ray and Duke are about to discover is that Sean isn't any ordinary ant. What They're Saying About King Of The Ants
"...an awesome tale of deciept, murder, and all out mayhem. I would suggest this film to everyone." -- Luke aka Goon, Movies Online"King of the Ants is not just some exercise in protracted violence. The story is genuinely compelling... the cast is great..." -- Jim Harper, Flipside Movie Emporium
"...this is a film not to be missed by Stuart Gordon fans and non fans alike. It's unique, violent, depressing and at times very funny." -- Evan Katz, Creature Corner.com
"Gordon has crafted a horribly violent, shattering but always realistic horror story with King Of The Ants, and the end result is unlikely to disappoint any serious genre fan." -- Calum Waddell, Dark Side Magazine
"Stuart Gordon exploded into the horror film world with his unforgettable Re-Animator. Nearly twenty years later he's still making films that make audiences cringe, then laugh hysterically within the space of a few seconds. His latest, King of the Ants, may be his best film since his auspicious debut." -- Ross Williams, Film Threat.com
"King of the Ants is a nihilistic crime story in the Reservoir Dogs/Fight Club tradition... The entire cast gives strong performances." -- Jon Bjorling, Movie Freak.com
"Stuart Gordon continues to churn out projects that major studios are terrified to touch. Like his other grisly treats, King of the Ants is an uncompromising tunnel into the dark underbelly of life, hatched by one of filmdom's most fertile imaginations. It's a "hatchet job" that the director can feel proud of." -- K.J. Doughton, Nitrate Online.com
