Los Angeles, CA. (06/29/04) -- Movies and comic book heroes have grown to be all but synonymous in recent years. The task of creating living, breathing depictions of two-dimensional superheroes has evolved into an art form. Spectral Motion, Inc. is firmly established as one of the leaders in this new creative process. In the wake of recent successes on such high profile features as Hellboy and the soon-to-be released Blade Trinity, Spectralšs next assignment is the highly anticipated feature Fantastic Four based on the legendary Marvel Comics title."Hellboy gave us an incredible opportunity to prove our abilities in creating three-dimensional incarnations taken from rich source material" said Elizalde. The action film based on artist Mike Mignolašs creation and directed by Guillermo del Toro proved to be a huge box office success and helped put the Glendale, CA based creature effects studio on the cinematic map. "It is very rewarding to be creatively involved with such iconic adaptations" Elizalde continues. "We couldnšt be more thrilled about working on Fantastic Four. Itšs a huge boost for our company and I think it will be a project that will elevate us to the next strata."
Set to begin filming in August of 2004, the Fantastic Four is a 20th Century Fox production in collaboration with Marvel Comics Inc., and will be directed by Tim Story (Barbershop). Executive Producer for the film is Ralph Winter (X-Men, X 2, Mighty Joe Young) and Producers are Avi Arad (X-Men, Spiderman, The Hulk) and Kevin Feige (X-Men, Daredevil, The Hulk).
